Emily Wendling - Saginaw Valley State - Basketball
 

Emily Wendling is a student-athlete who has racked up the awards and accolades during her time at Saginaw Valley State. In her final season on the hardwoods, Emily became the program's all-time leading scorer, finishing with 1,973 total points, the all-time leader in free throws made with 482, and career free throw percentage, 85.5%.

Her efforts on the court have gained her national and conference recognition and she has twice been named the GLIAC Winter Commissioner's Award recipient, a three time All-American, and a three time First Team All-GLIAC honoree. Additionally, she was named the 2015-16 GLIAC Midwest Region Player of the Year and the GLIAC Freshman of the Year in her first season at SVSU.

Emily has also excelled in academics and has maintained a 3.94 GPA in her studies as an Occupational Therapy. Due to her diligence in the classroom, Emily received two Co SIDA Academic All-American honors, and four GLIAC All-Academic Excellence honors during her career.
