2019 Windy City Classic All-Stars

If you have ever been involved with girls travel basketball over the last decade, the words “Windy City Classic” might ring a bell. Over the past 14 years the Windy City Classic has become one of the largest girls travel basketball tournaments in the country annually.

The top teams from around the midwest and beyond come to the Classic each year to compete against some of the best talent in the nation. Players also have the opportunity to put their talents on display for hundreds of college coaches that come to the Windy City Classic in search for their program’s next star.

Each year the Classic moves back and forth between Chicago, IL and Milwaukee, WI. The 2019 event was held the last weekend of April in Milwaukee. Three hundred and seventeen teams descended upon Wisconsin’s largest city for the three day event. The state of Michigan was represented by thirty three of its top teams.

The Milwaukee Convention Center and the Wisconsin State Fair were home to thousands over the three days. Games ran non-stop from Friday afternoon through late Sunday evening in front of over 200 college coaches from around the country.

Over the event, players from each pool were nominated by opposing coaches to be selected to Windy City Classic All-Star Teams. Out of the thousands of outstanding young athletes, only a select few were named All-Stars. Thirty of Michigan’s best shined brighter then the rest of the stars that filled the 38 courts. Congratulations to the Michigan players that have been honored by being named 2019 Windy City Classic All-Stars.
